The tenth and last of the series was given last evening and was devoted to a consideration of Wagner, his works and advance from the old methods of operatic writing to the original and peculia ideas of the "music of the future." His style and the quality of his genius were fully analyzed, and the subject was illustrated by examples chosen from his works. The soloists were Mr. Loefiler; violins, Misses Eames and Edmands, and Mr. Pflueger. Mr. Loeffler's performance of the Siegfried air was espicially fine.
