Tennis Tournament.

Only three matches were played in the tennis tournament on Saturday on account of the football game. The match between H. Foster '98 and M. G. Beaman '99 was very close and well played, and at one time it looked as if Beaman would win. Beaman is a left-handed player who won the Princeton interscholastic championship the year before he came to college. He won the first set from Foster and had 5-4 in his favor in the second, but Foster braced up and won the set 7-5, and after that had no difficulty in getting the third set and match.

The summary is as follows:

H. Foster '98 beat M. G. Beaman '99, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.

P. Carleton beat P. Bacon '98, 6-3, 7-5.

Holt and Ward beat Beaman and Brice, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
