An adjourned meeting of the board of overeers of Harvard College was held at the office of the treasurer, yesterday afternoon, Hon. Wm. G. Russell officiating as chairman in the absence of President Hoar. The consideration of the resolutions upon official language for the university was postponed untill the first meeting after the next commencement. The subject of changes in the requisitions for admission to the college was specially assigned to the next meeting of the board. The report of the committee on the observatory was ordered to be printed. The resignation of the Hon. Wm. C. Endicott, presented at the last meeting, was accepted, and the resolution for the establishment of a regular Sunday morning service in the college chapel was laid on the table. A resolve was passed that, in the opinion of the overseers, if the income of the Morgan fund, or any part of it, or of any other unrestricted fund be applied to scholarships, such scholarships shall be open only to persons who have taken an academic degree at Harvard college or elsewhere, or who are studying to take such a degree in due course at Harvard college. It was voted that an examination be made of the records of the corporation, and that the names of all fellows, over-
Seers and other officers of instruction and government, who have been regularly appointed and confirmed, be inserted in the next edition of the quinquennial catalogue. Adjourned to April 22.
