Although several of Yale's best men have left college. Captain Murphy has a large number of candidates in training and Yale will probably put as strong a nine in nine in as ever. For a month now light general training has been going on, much the same as in Cambridge. Gymnasium exercise and a run supplementing the base sliding and infielding practised in the cage.
Beginning next Monday Henry Gruber, an ex-national league pitcher, will pitch to the candidates three days a week in the cage. Batting hours will then be arranged for the men. S.; for other positions, Bigelow '94, Dickerman '93, Henry '94, Case '94, Harvey '93, and Hotchkiss '94 S.
