The Atlantic Monthly for February, in addition to the continued stories by Henry James, Mrs. Oliphant and Chas. Egbert Craddock, has articles on "Ministerial Responsibility and the Constitution" by A. D. Lowell, "An American Soldier in China" by A. A. Hayer, "A Rhapsody of Clouds," "A Half-Score New Novelists," and "John Brown." There is also a short story, "Salem Cupboards," by Eleanor Putnam, and among the several other poems a contribution entitled "The Homestead," by Whittier.
