The Friday morning Herald gives a column to an account of a recent glove contest in New York, between Mr. John Roosevelt, of the Union club, who recently graduated from Oxford, and won the heavy-weight championship while there, and Mr. Rutgers Van Brunt, of the Kuickerbocker club.
