HARVARD 3, BEACON 2.Yesterday's game with the Beacons was prettily played. Nichols. '86, pitched for the Beacons and Winslow for Harvard, the latter being supported by Crocker. Both nines fielded well. Richardson, Welch and Merrill excelled in the field for the Beacons, and Richardson and Badger at the bat; Richardson making a pretty home run in first inning. For Harvard Coolidge, and Phillips fielded finely, while the pitching and catching of Winslow and Crocker was very fine. At the bat, Beaman and Phillips led. In the fourth inning, Smith injured his finger and Beaman took his place on first base.
