THE WINTER MEETINGS.

The executive committee of the H. A. A., have completed the following programme for the regular winter meetings in the gymnasium:

Saturday, March 15. Heavy-weight sparring, middle weight sparring, heavy weight wrestling, middle-weight wrestling, light-weight wrestling, feather-weight wrestling, parallel bars, putting the shot; tug-of-war, '86 vs. '87.

Saturday, March 22. Ladies' day. Light-weight sparring, feather-weight sparring, fencing, two-hand vault, standing high jump, club swinging, (Legitimate); tug-of-war, '84 vs. '85.

Saturday, March 29. Ladies' Day. Running high jump, flying rings, rope climbing, pole vault, horizontal bar, running high kick, tumbling. Tug-of-war, winners of two previous meetings.

Extra meeting, Monday, March 31. Ladies' Day. Two-hand vault, running high jump, flying rings, rope climbing, horizontal bar, tumbling; Tug-of-war, Law School vs. winners of the class championship.

Winners of first prizes in the three regular meetings barred, except as competitors for "best on record prizes."

Cups for prizes and medals for those breaking the Harvard record will be given as usual. The general excellence contest will include the same events as last year; parallel bars, horizontal bar, two-hand vault, running high jump, standing high jump, and flying rings. In addition to these class flags will be awarded to the class winning the greatest number of first prizes in the first three meetings. In case of a tie, second places will count. In sparring and wrestling, first prizes only will count. The tug-of-war will count as but one event in this contest. Entries will close on 'Thursday before each meeting, at 10 P. M., and can be made to R. D. Smith, Jr., 38 Holyoke House. The entrance fee is $1.00 for each event. This will be returned to all who actually compete.
