THE CREWS.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y., June 9.- Mr. Lehmann was much disappointed at the wet weather today, which prevented the usual practice of the crews. During the short time the 'Varsity rowed, Bull was at two again. He lacks Thomson's smoothness and is lighter, but is strong and catches the water well. The weather was so bad in the afternoon that Mr. Lehmann sent the boat back to the float after an hour's work. A run was substituted for the rest of the practice up the West Shore track for about a mile.

Brown being ill was replaced by Fitzgerald in the freshman boat, and as Glidden had an examination and could not row Kernan took his place at 3 in the morning practice. The freshmen did not row in the afternoon on account of rough water but took a two mile run up the track instead. A new rubber sent from Cambridge arrived today. J. J. Storrow '85 is expected on Saturday.
