D., instructor in forensics for the ensuing academic year; Josiah Royce, Ph. D., instructor in philosophy for the ensuing academic year; Charles Edward Faxon, LL. B., instructor in botany; Manuel Jacob Drennan, A. M., assistant professor of English for five years from September 1, 1883, and in electing William A. Keener assistant professor of law in the Law School.
