At a meeting of the board of overseers yesterday J. H. Thayer, D. D., was appointed lecturer on Biblical Theology; W. M. Davis, M. E., instructor in Geology, and R. H. Harrison, V. S., instructor in Anatomy. President Eliot presented the votes of the president and fellows electing James Bradstreet Greenough, A. B., professor of Latin; George Herbert Palmer, A. M., professor of Philosophy, and Clement Lawrence Smith, professor of Latin. These appointments will be acted upon at the next meeting.
