The newspaper account which reports the suppression of street parades by the Salvation Army in New Haven, states, "The Army now numbers some 70 members here, and their voices at the open-air meetings on the steps of the old State House have been so great as to discourage the Yale students from continuing the college glee songs from the campus fence in front of the college.
