A case has been brought to the notice of the board of directors in which a student, not a member of the society, bought goods at its store, presenting the ticket of a member, and purporting to be a member. This student, who was at the time admitted to the society by the clerk, has been expelled by vote of the board ; and the board has expressed to the member whose ticket was presented by him, their disapprobation of the member's course in enabling the ticket to be misused. Should cases of this kind re-occur in the future, the board will feel compelled to use all means in their power, such as publication of the names of the offenders, to prevent this abuse of the privileges of the society.
For the board of directors,ALLEN CURTIS, Sec.
