FACT AND RUMOR.

Tilden, '87 is again playing with the freshmen.

The nine will play the Rollstones at Fitchburg on April 26th.

The new Yale shell from Waters will be the counterpart of ours.

The Lacrosse Association has lately received many new members.

The steam launch is being overhauled, and will be ready for use in a few days.

The excursion in Natural History 7 will be postponed, owing to the bad weather.

Yesterday's shower brought the practice of the nine and lacrosse men to a sudden stop.

Baker, '84, is recovering rapidly and will probably play with the nine in the Brown game on April 25th.

John B. Gough, the famous temperance lecturer, will deliver an address in Tremont temple, Boston, tomorrow afternoon, at 3 o'clock.

The spring physical examinations by Dr. Sargent are going on, and show considerable improvement. Several records.

An exciting and close game will be that between the Walthams and Harvards, this afternoon. The game will be called promptly at 3.30.

The postponement of the sophomore dinner till next Friday night gives general satisfaction, especially to the Boston men in the class.

It seems strange that such a well built structure as Memorial should so soon need such extensive repairs as are now being made upon it.

Members of the Shooting Club will meet for rifle practice at Walnut Hill to-day. If enough men are present, scratch teams will be chosen for a team match.

Subscriptions amounting to $24,250 have been made, chiefly by Philadelphians, to the fund providing for the present and future needs of Havarford College, and for the erection of additional buildings.

Not so much progress as was expected has been made during the recess in the learning of the stroke. Although the crew have worked hard, they show scarcely any change from their condition before the vacation. [News.]

It has been found impossible to assign any other day than Saturday, May 10, the day of the class races, for the examination for honors in Greek. The examination, however, will be held at 9 A. M. instead of at 10, as usual, that men may be enabled to attend the races.
