This telegraphic instrument records the beats of the Observatory mean time standard clock at the even seconds, omitting the fifty-eighth second of each minute, and the last twenty-six seconds of each five minutes.

The instrument can be seen from outside the Hall. The clock on the Unitarian Church will be stopped at 12 o'clock (local time) and started 15 minutes 44 1-2 seconds later, when the noon alarm strikes (eastern time).

The meals at Memorial Hall, beginning Sunday noon, will be served according to the new standard. The College has adopted the standard time for prayers and recitations.
