The following account of the game between elevens of Yale and Stevens Institute on Saturday last is from the New Gaven Union:

The game opened by Terry kicking off for Yale. After a fine rush by Farwell, and also one by Terry, in fourteen minutes from the opening of the game, Stevens Institute made a safety touchdown. Two minutes later Bertron made the first touchdown for Yale, from which Terry kicked a goal for Yale. Soon after Terry made two touchdowns, but failed to kick a goal. During a scrimmage the captain of the Stevens Institute team was hurt by striking one of the goal posts and Cotiard was put in his place.

Early in the second inning Torrance made a fine run and succeeded in getting past every one except Terry. Farwell, Terry, Goodwin and Twombly made fine runs and touchdowns for Yale. On the part of the Stevens Institute Wirts and Torrance did the best work. Terry kicked six goals and missed five. The game resulted as follows: Yale 6 goals, 5 touchdowns Steyens Institute, 3 safety touchdowns. The teams were as follows :-Stevens Institute-Back, N. Camp bell ; half backs, Wicts, Dillworth ; quarter back, C. Baldwin; rushers, Torrance Burhorn, Kitzosh (captain), Bush, McCoy, Willis, Adriance.

Yale-Back, Lambert ; half backs, Terry and Young; quarter back, Twombly ; rushers, Goodwin, Coxe, Cutler, Bertram. Lang, Tompkins, Farwell.
