The class meeting of '85 last evening was called to consider reports from the freshman crew, nine and eleven. Committees were appointed to audit the reports as follows: Football - Homans, Howard, Atkinson; base-ball - Thayer, Winslow, Lane; crew - McCook, Winthrop, Holland. An appeal on behalf of the crew was made by Mr. Weed. It was stated that $1338 had been received by subscription during the year. Other receipts amounted to $120, making a total of $1458. There had already been paid out $548, leaving a balance of $913. One hundred dollars further would be required to meet all the expenses, including a bill to the 'Varsity of $150 and bills for coach and New York expenses. $92 were then subscribed to meet the deficit. The nine was reported to be $36.75 short. $23.04 were subscribed to meet this deficit. '85 will consequently pass on to her sophomore year very nearly out of debt.
