THE BOSTON OPERA SEASON.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Italian opera season will begin at the Boston Theatre late in December or early in January, and will continue for two weeks. The troupe will be the same as Mr. Mapleson is now presenting at the Academy of Music in New York, Mme. Patti being one of the force.

English operatic performances will probably be given in Boston during the season by the Ideals (who promise some novelties, "The Marriage of Figaro" among them), the Strakosch troupe, of which Mme. Hauk will be the leading lady, and the Emma Abbott Company.

French operas will be played in Boston, sooner or later, by Mr. Grau's company, in which is included Mme. Theo, Mr. Capoul and other accomplished singers.
