THE first game of foot-ball between Yale and Harvard was played at New Haven on the 13th inst. So full an account of the game has already appeared in the Advocate, that we here give merely a summary of the contest.

Harvard. - Hall (Capt.), Bacon, '76; Cate, Curtis, Cushing, Herrick, keys, Leeds, Seamans, Tower, '77; Littauer (substitute), Thayer, Wetherbee, '78; Blanchard, '79; Faucon, Morse, I. S.

Yale. - Arnold (Capt.), Alden, Baker, Camp, Elliot, Johnston, Munson (substitute), Peters, Phelps, Smith, Thompson, Trumbull, Vaille, Wakeman, Wirts, Wright.

Judges. - Harvard, Mr. W. A. Whiting, '77; Yale, Mr. McKnight. Referee, Mr. Cornell, of Columbia College.

Game at close of first half-hour, Harvard two goals and one touch-down; Yale nothing.

At close of second half-hour, Harvard three goals and three touch-downs; Yale nothing.

At close of third half-hour, Harvard four goals and four touch-downs; Yale nothing.

Nearly one hundred and fifty of our students accompanied the Harvard team, and certainly received excellent treatment during their stay in New Haven.
