AN aspiring Freshman, acting without the sanction of his class, has produced a composition which he playfully styles "The Jolly Boys of '76." The song is silly and meaningless throughout. Here is the chorus.

"For we're very merry Seventy-six boys,

And a hearty party, too, we are;

All melancholy we will dispel, boys,

With a jolly ol-ly ra! ra! ra!"

THE following statistics may be of interest: The oldest and youngest man at the time of entering college, in the present Senior class, were respectively twenty-nine and fifteen; in the Junior class, twenty-eight and fourteen; in the Sophomore class, twenty-three and fifteen; and in the Freshman class, twenty-seven and fifteen.

THE Harvard University Catalogue is now announced for the 15th of the present month, though it is possible that delay may still occur. It will be a volume of about 330 pages, but otherwise the edition in paper will be similar in appearance to the annual Catalogue heretofore published. The Catalogue of the Medical School has been reprinted from the Catalogue of the University, and can be found at Sever's.

THE annual winter concert given by the Pierian Sodality and Glee Club in Lyceum Hall will not take place this year, owing to the illness of the leader of the Glee Club, and the unwillingness of its members to give this concert without him.
