Lectures on the History of the First Church in Cambridge. By ALEXANDER MCKENZIE, Pastor of the First Church in Cambridge, and the Shepard Congregational Society. Boston: Congregational Publishing Society. 1873.

To those of our readers who are interested at all in the town of Cambridge, or in the religious worship of our ancestors, we earnestly recommend the Rev. Mr. McKenzie's careful and interesting history of the Church of which he is now the pastor. The illustrations give one a good idea of the different buildings occupied by the Society, and of the parsonage of 1670, with its poplar-trees and long wells-weep.
