WORKING ON NEW TENNIS COURTS

Extra Playing Space Being Prepared Inside Freshman Track

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Work is progressing rapidly on the 16 new tennis courts which are being built inside the new Freshman track in the northwest corner of Soldiers Field.

Mr. Dennis Enright, superintendent of grounds at Soldiers, Field, expects to have the new courts in service by spring. Pits for field events are to be placed within the semi-circle left by the tennis courts at either end of the enclosure.

Mr. Enright has also begun the work of clearing out the four Charlesbank skating rinks in order that they may be put into service without delay this winter.
