UNIVERSITY BOOTERS GO TO WILLIAMSTOWN TO MEET PURPLE TEAM

Following a week of drill work, in which special attention was given to passing and offensive drill, the University soccer team left yesterday afternoon for Williamstown, where it will play Williams College at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

In the game last week with Dartmouth the Crimson soccer men clearly displayed their strength, especially in maintaining a tight defense, and a more or less polished team will meet the Purple booters. The Crimson squad is favored to take the game today since Williams is not expected to present especially strong opposition.

The Crimson booters, under the direction of Coach Jack Kershaw, a former English soccer player, have won two games and lost two. At the beginning of the season, the University squad defeated Bridgewater Normal 5 to 0, but in the next game, the West Point team handed the Crimson booters a 3 to 1 defeat. Amherst gave the Crimson their second deeat by a 4 to 2 score, while last week, the University players trimmed Dartmouth 2 to 0. Today's game is the halfway point in a nine game schedule that culminates in the Yale game.
