What this college needs is more college spirit. This old Harvard indifference. It's awful the way everybody goes around griping. Why just the other day--but what's the use. A K-Man at Kansas U. has found the same thing wrong at his school. And he describes it best in the University Daily Kansan:

"We have proof that practically all of the articles written criticising the school, the team and etc., have been written by people who have for the entirety of their college life so far always are looking for something to gripe about. Have you ever seen any of them try to uphold any of the school's traditions, customs and etc. No never have they felt the urge to cooperate in any way. I will say they are capable of turning in well written articles, no faulty english and all of that. They should be capable of such; they write enough of them. . . Beware of such types as I have mentioned they are treacherous."

This is exactly the way we feel too. We quote again:

"Lastly I would like to straighten out a certain bicycle riding master mind on this campus. He wrote a very nice article in the Campus Opinion Column concerning policies which the "K" club has adopted so he thinks concerning the handling of freshman caps. He greatly exaggerated the amount the club receives. The exact amount we feel is none of his business. It would be a good idea for him, this is merely a suggestion to buy him one of these caps so he will keep his head dry. I really don't think he knows enough to come in out of the rain."

This is the way to handle guys like him always blowing off their mouth, mentioning no names real sarcastic like. We wish we could talk about some fellows around here that way if President Conant would let us.
