RGA Action to Let Jrs., Srs. Stay Out After Sign-Out Time

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

RGA voted yesterday to permit juniors and seniors to stay out after the time to which they have signed out. Freshmen and sophomores will continue under the present system, which requires them to return before their signout time.

Under the revised rule, upperclassmen will be asked to indicate their estimated time of return, but no disciplinary action will be taken against those who are late. Any junior or senior who would like the greater protection afforded to freshmen and sophomores may indicate a second hour in the sign-out book. If she has not returned by that time, appropriate steps will be taken as provided by RGA.

RGA also voted to submit to the administration the use of the Field House, which was recently closed because of confusion about its proper function. Termed a "stopgap measure to keep the Field House operating until Radcliffe's Fourth House is built," the recommendation reserves the second floor for the exclusive use of artists. The Field House itself may still be reserved for parties and meetings, as it could be previously, but only the night watchman will have access to the key.
