8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
At a meeting in the Varsity Club last night, the Harvard Rugby Club chose its officers for the next year. James A. Potter '34 was named President, succeeding Stanton Whitney. Potter was outstanding on the Crimson team until he cracked his collarbone in a practice about half-way through the season.
Charles K. Howard '35 was elected captain, M. Duane Whitney '36 was elected secretary-treasurer, and Hayden Channing '37 was chosen player-manager.
The cup which is given yearly to the member of the team who has learned to play in America and who has shown the best spirit, ability, and sportsmanship was unanimously voted to Hanns Carl Schwyzer '34.
The rugby team enjoyed a fairly successful season this year, under the tutelage of P. S. deQ. Cabot 1G, inasmuch as defeats at the hands of Princeton were washed out by a smashing victory over the Eli forces.
