Acting as agents for the Navy and the Coop, Lieutenant Anthony, of the Naval Supply School, and Mr. Hughes from the Coop, will purchase 400 floor and desk lamps this afternoon beginning at 2 o'clock in the Winthrop House Common Room in H Entry.
Spot cash will be paid for all lamps bought by either organization, a representative said last night. During the afternoon, Lt. Anthony will buy if possible 80 floor lamps, and 80 to 100 desk lamps, preferably of the fluorescent variety, while Mr. Hughes will buy 200 to 250 desk lamps of the variety sold at the Coop. Although I.E.S. and flourescent lamps will be preferred, it was stressed that any type of lamp may be bought.
