The Atlantic Monthly for May contains an article entitled "School Reform" in which Professor Munsterberg, after giving some interesting school reminiscences, argues against the elective system in schools and advocates the employment of competent teachers. In the same number an essay by Mr. J. H. Gardiner on "The Father of English Prose Style" traces the influence of the life and character of William Tyndale on the prose of the English Bible. Other articles by Harvard men are "An Ode in Time of Hesitation," by William Vaughn Moody '93, and a book review by Henry Childs Merwin '74.
