Regular practice for the cross country team begins today when all prospects meet at 3.15 o'clock in the Dillon Field House before putting on spikes for the first time.

Captain Hayden Channing '37 is ace. Behind the man who generally finished just after Harvard's great harrier, Robert S. Playfair '36, are lined up on paper a squad of eight capable runners, including among others George P. Coach Jaakko Mikkola's only returning Gardner, Jr. '39, who captained last year's Freshman team.

A schedule of five Varsity meets opens on Monday, October 12, against Holy Cross, while the season ends with the IC3A run in New York, Nov. 16.
