Securing tickets for this winter's sports events will be a far cry from the rush of the football season, Frank O. Lunden, ticket manager of the H.A.A., assured students in outlining the procedure for basketball, hockey, swimming, and wrestling.
Holders of annual coupon books will receive approximately a 50 percent discount on tickets for Crimson basketball and hockey games at the Boston Garden and Boston Arena. Tickets maybe bought at eeither the H.A.A. office or the Garden of Arena, but coupons can be exchanged for tickets only at the H.A.A., Lunden said.
Seats for swimming, wrestling, and basketball at the Indoor Athletic Building are all unreserved and will be sold at the gym door. Here the numbered coupons are used for tickets. Prices will be decided next week.
The lettered coupons for Garden and Arena tickets can be exchanged for seats a week before the game until noon the day of the event.
"Applications will be acted on in order of receipt for all events, unless heavy demand for Yale basketball or hockey contests necessitate segregation by classes for those two games," Lunden said.
