Trials for the University Glee Club open to all University members will be held at 7 o'clock Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights in Sever 11. Dr. A. T. Davison '06, director of the Glee Club, will test all new candidates by having them sing the scale. It is the policy of the Club not to make the trials difficult since it aims to take on all those whose voices have any possibilities of development. These who are accepted will be retained until the quartet trials early in December.
Former Glee Club members will not report at the tryouts, but both old and new men will attend the first rehearsal to be held Monday night at 7 o'clock in Sever 11. Rehearsals this fall will be held three times a week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. Later in the year the rehearsals will be cut to two a week.
The concert list includes a joint concert with the Princeton Glee Club at Princeton on November 9, the evening before the Princeton football game, and another with the Yale Glee Club at Cambridge on November 23, the night before the Yale game. The plans of the club also embrace three concerts at Symphony Hall with well-known artists assisting. On the Christmas trip concerts will be given in New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Springfield, Ohio. The Glee Club also has been invited to sing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall
