GLEE CLUB TO START CONCERT SERIES AT WIDENER ON MAY 4

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University Glee Club will give the first of its series of three Tuesday night concerts on the steps of Widener Library on May 4 at 7 o'clock. It has been the custom of the club since its reorganization in 1919 to give a similar series each spring after the regular concerts of the year are over.

It is expected that about 100 men from the Club will join in this performance, although the exact number to take part has not been determined, since singing in these concerts is purely voluntary.

Following the regular program, which will be conducted by G. W. Woodworth '24, members of the University in the audience will be invited to join the Glee Club in singing college songs.

The program for the first concert is as follows: Harvard Hymn  Paine Miserere  Allegri Chorus of Bacchanties  Gouned Coronation Scene, from Boris Godonov  Moussorgsky Gute Nacht  German Folk Song Reaper's Song  Bohemian Folk Song Then round about the starry throne, from Sampson  Handel
