Faculty Members To Broadcast Over World Wide Area

In cooperation with the non-commercial World Wide Broadcasting Foundation of Boston, the University will inaugurate its fourth successive year of broadcasts by international shortwave radio with a talk by Samuel H. Cross, professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures on "Russia Returns to Europe."

Other broadcasts scheduled for next month include: "Forecasting the Weather," I-- Charles F. Brooks, professor of Meteorology and director of the Blue Hill Observatory, October 10; "The British Empire in the Crisis," by William Yandell Eiliott, professor of Government, October 17; "Earthquakes, Man-Mado and Natural," by Lewis Don Lect, assistant professor of Geology, October 24; and "The Implications of Democracy for Education," by Dean Henry W. Holmes, of the Graduate School of Education, October 31.

Two Broadcasts

As was done last year, there will be two broadcasts of each speech. From 7:30 to 8 o'clock the regular speech will be made and at 10:30 o'clock a transcription will be sent out on the air.
