ELIMINATION CONTESTS WILL TEST UNIVERSITY GRAPPLERS

Starting this week, the Freshman wrestlers will hold elimination matches for the Interdormitory meet to be staged on January 7. The winners of the Interdormitory contest automatically become the Freshman team, which meets Tufts in its first mat-struggle on January 14.

The University wrestling squad also starts this week on elimination work. The squad will be boiled down until there are only two men in each weight class. After the Christmas recess, the remaining mat-men will wrestle for positions on the team, which will meet with Tufts on January 7, a week before the Freshmen.

Football men have not reported yet and there is a shortage of heavy material, according to Coach W. E. Lewis. Lewis also declared that there is plenty of chance for any prospective wrestlers on the squad, as there are no cuts made during the season.
