Skiers are likely to sail with empty wallets for the Olympic games in St. Moritz, unless the Harvard Ski Club and other winter sport fanciers can raise sufficient money to pay travel expenses for the Americans who will wear the Red, White, and Blue in Switzerland this winter.
As part of a program to finance the Americans who ride the hickory blades, the Ski Club is showing two movies about skiing, reputed to be "the best around," Tuesday evening in the Rindge Tech auditorium.
The first one, filmed by ski expert Dick Dorrance, is called "Olympic Preview" and features downhill and slalom shots of the American ski team tryouts held last winter. "Lets Go Skiing," the second short, is a personalized version of pleasure skiing and racing in the West.
Tickets for the program are available at the Tennis and Squash Shop, the Coop, or at Rindge Tech on the evening of the show.
