CHANGE IN TENNIS SYSTEM

A new system governing the use of the tennis courts has been devised and will go into effect this spring. Courts may be engaged for a half-hour after the first hour's play, but in case the court is in demand it must be given up at the expiration of an hour and a half. New tickets bearing license for 14 hours and twelve half-hours play (a total of 20 hours, as formerly) will be issued at the customary price of $1.50. These changes remedy the main inconveniences which have caused complaint in past years, that of paying for time not used and that of monopolization of courts for long periods of time to the exclusion of those who are waiting to play.
