8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
No new board has been appointed to put out a '45 album, Dana Reed '43, chairman of the retiring board, said last night. Due to war shortages, many of the materials used in putting out the book are difficult to obtain. Foreseeing this, the '43 album was made to serve for '44 as well, with the prospect of no future publication in mind.
Publication is not definitely suspended for the duration, however. Provision has been made for a '45 album if enough men are in College to put it out. The task of selecting the board would revert to the Student Council, which appointed the original board of the current series of yearbooks.
New Album Unlikely
It is not expected that another album will be issued, Reed said, not only because of the shortage of paper, copper plates for engraving, and labor, but because no desire to do the work has been expressed openly by '45.
